The Pressures Facing
Florida’s Critical Facilities

Florida buildings face relentless pressure from humidity, storms, salt air, and aging infrastructure - often in facilities that must stay open.

Water intrusion and moisture damage

Infrastructure upgrades that impact patient/resident spaces

Building enclosure and facade failures

Operational constraints: you can’t shut down care or services

Our Closed-Loop Model
Assessment. Design. Delivery. Renewal.

Our closed-loop model grew from decades of solving real-world building failures - combining investigation, design, and implementation within a single coordinated team. We don’t just identify issues - we help you move from root cause to completed solution with one accountable partner.

Assess: Forensic investigations and diagnostics

Design: Permit-ready documents, constructability, and phasing plans

Deliver: Construction services that keep projects on track

Renew: Lifecycle planning to prioritize what matters next

Solutions Built for
Heat, Humidity, and High Stakes

Where We Focus:

New Construction

We design new facilities that balance operational performance, durability, and long-term value. Our team works closely with owners and project partners from early planning through construction documentation to deliver buildings that support evolving programmatic and operational needs.

Renovations

We plan and design renovations that modernize existing facilities while maintaining operational continuity. Whether upgrading aging infrastructure or reconfiguring spaces for new uses, our approach focuses on minimizing disruption while improving functionality and performance.

Interior Design

Our interior design services create environments that support comfort, efficiency, and brand identity. From space planning and finish selections to casework and furnishings, we develop cohesive interiors that enhance both user experience and operational goals.

Forensic Assessments +
Root Cause Investigations

We identify the underlying causes of moisture, enclosure, and infrastructure failures - providing clear diagnostics and actionable solutions that move projects from uncertainty to resolution.

Building Enclosures +
Exterior Renewal

From facade systems and waterproofing to roof interfaces and structural exposure, we design durable enclosure solutions built for Florida’s humidity, storms, and coastal conditions.

Infrastructure-Driven Renovations

When aging systems demand replacement, we transform disruption into opportunity - integrating sanitary piping, HVAC, and behind-the-walls upgrades with thoughtful architectural renewal.

Healthcare Renovations +
ICRA-Aware Planning

We design and phase healthcare projects with infection-control and operational continuity in mind, coordinating closely with facility teams to maintain safety and compliance.

Emergency Response +
Recovery

Following wind, water, or environmental events, we provide rapid assessment, remediation coordination, and rebuild design - supporting facilities from stabilization through long-term renewal.

Construction Services + Implementation Support

Our involvement extends beyond design. We provide construction documentation, oversight, and implementation coordination to ensure solutions are executed as intended.

Decades of Solving
Florida’s Toughest Building Challenges

GHP has supported facilities across Florida since the late 1980s - beginning with some of the earliest environmental investigations and building assessments following new national regulations around asbestos and indoor environmental quality.

As Florida’s hospitals, hotels, and commercial buildings expanded rapidly through the 1960s and 1970s, many of those facilities eventually faced complex issues related to aging infrastructure, moisture intrusion, environmental hazards, and operational disruptions. GHP became a trusted resource for owners navigating those challenges.

Our work in Florida has ranged from environmental investigations and

building assessments to complex renovation and renewal programs for senior living, healthcare systems, hospitality organizations, financial institutions, and public agencies.

What makes GHP different is our integrated expertise. Rather than separating environmental consulting, architecture, and construction services, our teams work together to diagnose problems, design solutions, and implement repairs within a single coordinated process.

Today, that integrated approach allows Florida clients to move faster, reduce risk, and solve complex building problems without the fragmentation that often comes from working with multiple firms.

Phasing
Strategies

We develop detailed phasing plans that allow renovations and infrastructure upgrades to move forward without disrupting daily operations, patient care, or resident life.

Containment and
infection-control

Our team designs containment strategies and infection-control measures that protect occupants, maintain compliance, and reduce risk during construction in active facilities.

Coordination across
stakeholders

We align owners, operators, contractors, and facility teams to streamline communication, minimize disruption, and keep complex projects moving safely and efficiently.
